Competitive & Organized Play

THIS PAGE LAST UPDATED: 10-20-2026

The SCHH Pickleball Club offers structured playing opportunities for members who want competitive games, dependable match formats and opportunities to play with others at a similar skill level.

Members may choose from two general categories:

  • Organized Club Play
Provides structured competition without affecting DUPR ratings
  • DUPR Competitive Play,
Where eligible match results are recorded in DUPR

Current events, eligibility requirements and registration information are available in CourtReserve.

Organized Club Play

Organized Club Play provides structured, competitive games without recording results in DUPR. These programs are designed to create balanced matchups, introduce members to different players and provide alternatives to arranging a private group.

Programs may include:

  • Shootouts
  • Club-rated play
  • Round robins
  • Ladder-style play
  • King or Queen of the Court
  • Internal leagues
  • MLP-style team events
  • Special non-DUPR tournaments

Formats and participating levels vary throughout the year.

DUPR Competitive Play

DUPR events are intended for players who want their results recorded as part of an established pickleball rating system. DUPR uses match results to calculate a player rating based on performance. A player’s rating may change after results are submitted. Club DUPR opportunities may include:

  • DUPR round robins
  • Waterfall tournaments
  • DUPR-rated special events
  • Men’s, women’s and mixed doubles competition
  • Additional formats developed by the Competitive Play Committee

Each event description will specify whether results will be submitted to DUPR.

DUPR Requirements

Participants in a DUPR event must:

  • Have an active DUPR account
  • Provide accurate DUPR account information
  • Register for the appropriate division
  • Follow the eligibility and rating requirements listed for the event
  • Understand that eligible match results will be submitted to DUPR

Players should review the complete event description before registering.

Members are welcome to participate in both categories when eligible.
